"I just beat Pokemon Platinum after 7+ years."

I'm quite young, so my first ever true game in the series was Pokemon Platinum. I was a small child and english is my second language so I never really got what was going on, but somehow i A-buttoned my way to victory. Well, not quite to victory. I beat 7 gyms, got through mt. Coronet, and went into the distortion world, and there my adventure ended. I could never get through the distortion world for the life of me. Even after looking up multiple online walkthroughs and following step by step I never managed to do it. So, I just walked right out of there and accepted that I was screwed. I convinced myself that my game was glitched and that I was never going to get past the 7th gym. So I just kept on grinding in the grass and battling and trading with my friends, and somehow I never got bored.Anyways, recently I found my copy. And would you belive it, the game wasn't glitched. So now, more than seven years later, I finally cought Giratina, and eventually defeated the champion. Now, yes, I may have been grossly overleveled and yes, I one shotted Cynthias Garchomp with my Floatzel.
