"Trial: From now until May, no Art on the weekends (and a few other changes)"

For the next month, we're trying out a few things to improve the diversity of submissions and conversation on /r/pokemon. All of these changes are temporary for now, and will be reexamined in early May.First: Posts using the "Art" or "OC Art" tag are not allowed during the weekend. For this purpose, we're defining the weekend using regular working hours in UTC: it'll begin Fridays at 5:00PM UTC (equivalent to Friday 1PM EDT), and end Mondays at 9:00AM UTC (equivalent to Monday 5AM EDT). Click here for a summary of posts that normally use the Art tags: it's mostly paintings, drawings and comics, whether made digitally or IRL using paper or canvas.Additionally, we'll be using our sticky space differently this month. We'll be trying out two things:Weekly challenges based on simple in-game tasks, like mini global missions, that change every week. Look for the first of those Sunday, April 9!Themed discussions based on recreating or changing certain aspects of the main series games. Look for the first of those Wednesday, April 12!We'll still be stickying a RAGE THREAD on Saturdays, but our other discussion stickies will be posted as daily threads instead, without being stickied. Those will be:A daily Hype ThreadA daily "Play With Me" Thread for people to arrange battles and talk about competitive and casual gameplayAnd a daily Outside the Main Series Thread, for discussion of the anime and other titles beyond the main series Pokemon games. Finally, we're interested in knowing why you visit /r/pokemon, and what sorts of threads you're most interested in seeing. We've got a survey about that—it's just six questions long. If you'd like to help make the subreddit better, we'd be very grateful if you could take a moment to fill it out! Click here to do it. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2ofD6bL
