"New Special Research Ideas"

#PokemonGO: Special research is so much fun! They're the one thing that would make me super excited to play instead of just grinding. Maybe if they released a new quest line every month for another mythical pokemon or possibly even a random shiny? These would (ideally) be quests you could complete on your own time (not a 3 hour weekend-stealing event). It would be nice to have chances of finding better IV mythicals. Meeting up with people to get mystery boxes is such a pain. I usually can't connect to any of my friends Switches, and the only times I have it has taken at least 10 minutes for the switch to find my phone. I don't like wasting people's time, it feels selfish to ask someone to give me a box, knowing how time consuming it is. Why not have meltan special research that repeats once you complete it? It would be a much slower, less efficient way to farm meltan, but it would be fun rather than frustrating, unlike with the mystery box system.
