"Appreciation to Funkysho ( for his real world comparison videos )"

#PokemonGO: There are alot of great contributors to the Pokemon GO community, like Dronpes (& the TSR team), Celandro ( for Pokebattler ), QuantumOverlord and Ryanoftheday for their charts & insights and Dondon ( & the Gamepress team ) for the informative Gamepress site, plus any others that I might have missed. Like to convey my thanks to u guys.However, I like to do a shoutout to Funkysho, who is pretty much a silent contributor ( he rarely posts ), on his very informative real world comparison battle videos (which are largely ignored unfortunately), something which no others are doing at all.In fact, his work had been kind of ridiculed and "mud slap" by some overzealous fanboys during the debate on the Gamepress attacker tier list when somebody cited his work...see here, which is actually quite unfair to him, cos I feel that his videos are pretty objective, especially in the real world battle circumstances.For example, his latest dragonite counter video does shows that Blissey deserved to be in the tier 1 attacker list as listed in Gamepress, by virtue of how much she can sweep through on all those high-level dragonites. Honestly, if you are down to your last pokemon running through against a high level 10 gym, there's no other beast other than a Blissey that can possibly get your 10 pokemon gym clear bonus....though just pray that there isn't another Blissey at the top ;)In the same vein, his gyarados vs vaporeon video also shows how close gyarados is against vaporeon, even against those mons weak to water like Rhydons (with double weakness) and Tyranitars, and ultimately beating the dragonite faster during a sweep through of 2x Rhydons and 1x Dragonite without swapping. This gives a more realistic real world perspective on gym battles as compared to relying solely on simulations.Ultimately, funkysho, if you are reading this, very grateful for your work, and hope you can continue what you are doing :)Peace out! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2q1bqZj
