"[Discussion] So, when Gen III rolls around, what will the deal with Feebas be?"
#PokemonGO: For those users who are unfamiliar with the species beyond those already in the game, I'll elaborate: Feebas is a fish Pokemon very similar to Magikarp, weak, and with a really poor movepool, and whose sea serpent-like evolution is far more respectable (said evolution, Milotic, is somewhat inferior to Gyarados, as it has similar stats but a more defensive focus). However, its main gimmick is that the methods for finding and evolving it are usually obscure: Feebas usually was only found in a single area in the games, and to be able to encounter one, you'd need to find a precise spot in said area, where it'd be a very common encounter. And, once you managed to fish one, you'd need to raise a stat used solely in the Contest sidequest for it to evolve (although, as of late, it can also evolve by trading it holding an specific item, like, say, Seadra or Scyther). Still, that inconvenient way to raise this Pokemon is its most distinctive feature, so I assume that that will rear its ugly head in Go.I can see Feebas being VERY uncommon outside of nests, and perhaps being also an uncommon 2 km egg. I can also see it sharing with Magikarp the 400 candy requirement for evolution, but also needing a Prism Scale to do so. I hope that to not be the case, I'm still hoarding candy for a Gyarados, but I can see that happening. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2r5dH6x
