"Spent 30 minutes training up a level 9 gym, get error message during what should have been last battle, cannot continue to train."

#PokemonGO: This gym is a fairly private gym due to the fact it's at a private golf course with not much public traffic, so I am usually able to take the gym and hold it for months, all by myself, because it rarely gets challenged.This time, I took the gym back in February and 7 other Team Valor joined me, putting me into position 4. All 8 of us have held this gym uncontested since February.Yesterday I noticed I no longer had the gym bonus. I checked the gym, it was still level 8, but someone else was in my place and the others were shuffled around a bit - obviously someone had tried to take the gym, and failed, but it booted me out.This morning during my run I went over (nobody is there for another several hours) to get back in. It was a level 9 now.Since I have crap tier Pokemon, it took over 30 minutes and most of my potions and revives to train the gym up to level 10... except that during what should have been the last battle, I got the gym error message.I tried closing the game and relaunching it, same problem. I tried shuffling my Pokemon around, same problem. I tried walking away and coming back to it, same problem. It just won't let me continue training.So in other words, I just prepped the 10th spot for someone to swoop in and take, effectively locking me out of the gym for however long it takes another team to come by and try to fight it, maybe longer if the error messages never stop.I'm a little irritated. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2qcHU2p
