"Thank you, Niantic. Really."

#PokemonGO: I know these days may not be the best for you. I know there's been a lot of harsh comments. But now, with this awesome event over, I just have good memories.Spent Saturday with my wife playing in another city (my country didn't have a good Ingress community, so you can only play in clusters on the four big cities), we rented bikes, we laughed a lot, as the last time we rode bicycles was several years ago.We went to the local market to get some traditional food, asked permission to bring it with us to a bar with a nearby pokestop, and had mojitos while getting supplies. Our local community was so enthusiastic and everybody kept bragging about how much we have supported to the worldwide event (I'm sure we didn't help a lot, but we had a blast). Then, the best thing happened: Legendaries! Mystic, Valor and Instinct joined forces for the first time, a big chatroom where almost every active player is present; and, a year later, everybody was gathering at our parks, cheering and sharing this awesome game.I keep translating what happened at the GO Fest to my job, and I'm sure we'd be having an awful time at the office; but I'm grateful for the way you are dealing with this, and I'm hopping this will become lessons learned that will bring many years of GOing and exploring. So, yeah. Thanks, Niantic. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2vcOgSJ
