"New Park Pokestop (Green Pokestop) - Suggestion"
#PokemonGO: Hello! My name is aws404 and I am a Pokemon go player in rural Australia. I'm sure you have had many complaints about rural play with lack of Pokestops and Pokemon spawns, so rather than make a complain about the issue and I come with a suggestion.First I would like to point out a small problem with the current Ingress method of creating Pokestops and gyms. Many people who need to place Pokestops are in rural areas and as Ingress and Pokemon Go appear to share the same data it is hard to level up to the required level in order to create a portal. Now, through my research I had come to find the the game utilizes OpenStreetMaps data for roads, footpaths and most importantly parks. Parks are an important part of the game as they seem to be the most popular places for playing the game and catching Pokemon, therefore I believe that there should always be at least one Pokestop per park, but it would not just be an ordinary Pokestop. My idea is that by default all mapped parks will have a different looking Pokestop, perhaps like the green one attached. When clicked it would look similar to the normal stop and be spinnable just like normal. It would use the park name supplied by OpenStreetMaps and a generic image similar to the one shown behind the Pokemon during the catching sequence (image attached). However the main UI difference would be a "suggestions" button that when in range allows the placing of new Pokestops in a certain range around the stop (500m-1km?). These suggestions could then show up to others who visit the Pokestop and after a certain amount of time is an positive to negative ratio was good enough it could be introduced as a new Pokestop/Portal in the respective game.https://ift.tt/2Lo7dL0 via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2vax3qW
