"Why don’t we get candy for The Pokémon that we defeated a gym with, or at least another way to power up that Pokémon?"
#PokemonGO: In the main series games, the only way to level up your Pokémon was by battling (or rare candies which are already implemented), but in Pokémon go, the only way to power up your Pokémon is by catching more Pokémon(stardust) and getting candies of that Pokémon. We should be able to receive candies of The Pokémon that we defeated a gym with(or if you used multiple Pokémon, The Pokémon that did the most damage) and stardust. This would add to the feel of the main series games where when you looked at your level 60 Metagross, you know it got there because it defeated other Pokémon and trainers. Earning 200 stardust for feeding 10 berries to a defending Pokémon is great, but there should also be a stardust/power up reward for defeating a gym so your pokemon will get stronger the more gyms it defeats. This would also cause people to battle with Pokémon they normally don’t battle with to increase their level(cp). Personally I rarely hatch or catch beldum, so powering up my Metagross is rare and battling with him is even rarer, but if there was an opportunity to level up my Metagross by battling with him, I would battle gyms much more. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2LIymaA
