"Does anyone else want a rival with an arc that reflects their losses"

Maybe you start the game with you and the rival being friends, but then after the first few matches they start acting a bit depressed, and uses more risky and desperate methods to try and beat you. By the end of the game, they might even join the evil villain organization just for the chance to beat you.And their animations would reflect it. They start out the game looking really happy, but every progressive battle makes them less and less so, until they're genuinely angry just to have to fight you. Most of the games don't even have the rival acknowledge their losses. They act like they haven't had their asses handed to them on 6 separate occasions via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/3dvUrW0
