"If you were a gym leader..."

If you were interested Pokémon world and you were a gym leader, what type would you have and why? Sounds like an easy question, yes? It's not. There's a lot of thought to put into it. You'd instinctively want to say one of the types of your favorite Pokémon, but think strategically... whatever type you pick is whatever the rest of your Pokémon have to be. So while you might want to go with Poison, for example, it's not the best type competitively.
