"Does the current system to place a pokemon in a friendly gym feel a bit overwhelming?"
#PokemonGO: So there are 5 or 6 gyms in the local college that I like to help take for my team, and while taking gyms is fun and simple enough, anytime I try to put a pokemon in a friendly gym the amount of effort I put into it feels like a huge waste of time and resources. My strongest is an 1878 Lapras, more than a match one on one against pretty much any pokemon that gets thrown at it most of the time, but having to fight through 2 or 3 lv.1200 Vaporeons with no heal is enough to make anything collapse. And since you only receive roughly 150 experience per pokemon defeated, you pretty much have to fight a friendly gym 5 or 6 times even if you have a pokemon stronger than anything said gym holds. Does this feel like an extreme waste of resources to anyone else given the scarce rate at which pots spawn? I mean, I can see the fairness in how I'd have to fight a gym a number of times equal to the number of pokemon in said gym as is the case with capturing a gym, but when you capture a gym, every fight won makes it easier and easier to capture, and you pretty much don't have to use pots until the end of the fight with higher cp pokemon because of revive stones. Is this current system fair, or do there need to be changes? If, so what changes? I know this sounds like a bit of a rant, but I've just been bothered that I get excited when I see an enemy gym and dread seeing a friendly gym of the same level. I'm more than welcome to hearing someone who might help change my opinion on the situation.tl;dr it's more efficient to take an enemy gym than it is to help a friendly one: should changes be made? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/29QmwHV
