"Petition to Make sure Silph Road is a non-profit Charity and not a for-profit Company."

#PokemonGO: A lot of what the mods /executives have stated publicly about their goals to turn Silph road into a for-profit company and possible patent/trademark troll makes me worried as a now full time Pokemon trainer who also happens to be a part time Software Company / Gamedev CEO who is also married to a woman who is REALLY into Pokemon and has the Tournament Mats to prove it.As somebody who knows a lot about game development and the software industry due to my professional connections to it, I get that Silph Road needs to be sustainable, and I support a community driven database, but I do not think leeching off the community all to make a few bucks from all of our efforts by making Silph Road a For Profit LLC Company is the correct or moral way to do it, and I do not support anybody who wants to do that sort of harm to the community.The Pokemon community is great because at its core we all try to help each other be the best versions of ourselves possible. I feel that the only way to protect that is to make sure people are protected from any possible conflicts of interest or moral hazards created by the people running communities like Silph Road.So I would now like to formally ask the community to help pressure the executives/mods into making sure that the Silph Road app/site/etc stays non-profit and serves the community. and possibly even goes open source to assure that one bad actor can not fully control it or take it away from the community it should be serving.The Executives of Silph Road are on record as stating they want to make a profit from this sub-reddit and our efforts; I don't want that to happen and I know the rest of you don't want to work for a big company for free. Everything we as the community want to happen can happen best if Silph road is a non-profit, so I ask botht the community and the Executives to work in that direction.In the event that the Silph Road Executives Actively Refuse to do what is best for the community and publicly agree to transition to a non-profit charitable base for Silph Road, I will start planning out what would be needed in terms of resources, server space, etc to fully replace Silph Road in order to provide a fully community driven, not for profit, safe haven for the community that provides the same stated "pokemon catch db" support for the general Pokemon Community.Should Silph Road publicly agree to transition to a charitable and non-profit model, they would in turn gain my full support in this same way.The overall goal of course is to assure that the community can not be invaded by TeamRocket style bad actors posing as friendly trainers.
