"Pokemon don't fall off radar if there are less than 9 in your area, regardless if they still exist"

#PokemonGO: This didn't gain any traction in the main subreddit so I wanted to try here. I've been noticing this trend and I am looking for people to confirm. If I see a rare pokemon pop on radar within a reasonable amount of time, I almost never have any trouble tracking it down. However if I am not paying attention for a while and happen to look down and go "oh, rare guy. how long has that been there"? The chances are slim to none I find anything.I think the reasoning is due to the fact that the list doesn't allow itself to show less than 9 pokemon ONCE it gets to 9. Whenever I open the app at my house, I have 3-4 in my range. Then 5. Then 6. Eventually 9. It will NEVER go back below 9 unless I reset the app. So even though that rare guy has come and gone, it still shows on the radar because there are no other pokemon to take its place. This is confirmed by reloading the app and again seeing only 4-5 pokemon, with the rare guy nowhere in sight despite it being at 3 paces for the past 10 minutes while I looked around. Can anybody confirm this observation in their own experiences? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/29AipRI
