"The Brutal Math of Pokemon GO: Try Not to Grind For 2400 Hours"

#PokemonGO: Hi! Long-time reader, first-time poster. I ran some statistical analysis on the pure grindy aspects of Pokemon Go, and made a video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItPJlBRHZvEI thought y'all would find this an interesting thought exercise - like what if I just sit on lure spots, and collect random pokemon forever. It also gives you a baseline for gameplay. Like, if the game takes 48,000 random encounters if you're grinding without actively seeking specific Pokemon... - how much time does Candy evolution save? (30-50%, watch the video!!) - what if radar was more accurate and you could farm an area "3 steps" away instead of just "1 step (around a lure spot)"? - how much time does in-person trading save you? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2a9S6hY
