"Alakazam desperately needs a buff"
#PokemonGO: Alakazam is in a horrible spot right now. It's one of the hardest pokémon to get due to Abra's extremely high flee rate and its general rarity, but the amount of work you have to put in vs the reward is not even close to worth it. First of, it has a max CP of just 1813. 1813? Are you serious. This beast has a lower maximum CP than 6 pokémon that aren't even fully evolved. Golbat, Scyther, Magneton, Magmar, Electabuzz and Rhydon will all get another evolution when generation 2/4 comes. It has just 50 CP more than Machoke, which actually has another evolution currently available in the game. The highest CP one can possibly get a pokémon to at the moment is 3500. Alakazam has almost half of that. Half. Now, this wouldn't be that big of a deal if it wasn't for... It has bad moves too. Sure, you might luck out and get Psycho Cut and Psychic, but you may also end up with Confusion and Dazzling Gleam. Dazzling Gleam? Why. If you are going to screw over its stats, at least give it some good moves. Give it Hyper Beam or something instead of Dazzling Gleam. I don't even have an Alakazam, so it isn't the salt speaking for me. Alakazam is the psychic type of generation 1 (excluding Mewtwo and Mew, as they are legendaries). I'm not saying that it should be Dragonite/Snorlax tier, but it should be usable. Buff the max CP up to 2400-2500 or so, fix the multiplier for evolving and give it some better moves and it's good to go. It's sad seeing this awesome, iconic pokémon that so many people love just rotting in the corner with pokémon like Parasect and Fearow, when it should be as good, or maybe even better than other Psychic types like Hypno.TLDR; Buff Alakzam's multiplier and max CP, and give it a better move than Dazzling Gleam. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2aVtBKH
