"Just something to consider for all you mid level players who don't know whether or not to participate in gyms."
#PokemonGO: A lot of my real life friends are mid level (~15-20), and I often talk to them about Pokemon go. A lot of them say they have either NEVER attacked a gym, or have only done it a few times to no success. This surprises me.I assume that they think that because their pokemon's CP is lower than the gym defender's (which is probably a few 1600-2500 CP pokemon) that they have no chance at all at winning.I'd just like to remind you that the gym system is HEAVILY stacked in favor of attackers. You only need to beat ONE defender in the gym with SIX of your pokemon to get the victory, and on top of that you can team up with a friend and attack at the same time, which gives you 12 pokemon to beat a single pokemon to win.Potions and revives also have no other use currently, so really you have nothing to lose. Give it a go, trust me. The game is so much more satisfying when you can use the pokemon you hunted down for something, especially as a group.Tl;Dr, if you are a medium level player, get active attacking gyms. It's fun and adds a new dimension to the game. You lose nothing anyway.Oh and btw, don't even worry about trying to defend the gym, for the same reasons why you can take down a gym, it's impossible to realistically protect one. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2bpT0tO
