#PokemonGO: For a while now there has been two popular theories on why Niantic decided to remove the tracker, one was the server load, and the other was for safety reasons. Now that the potential redesign is released, there is a third reason - more revenue from sponsored locations. Remember this article from a while back:http://ift.tt/2aE0PrW the previous tracking system, if a pokestop was to sponsor a pokemon, trainers could eventually find their way there to the pokestop. But with the new tracking system, the pokestop is highlighted very clearly and trainers are way more likely to visit that location.
