"Tracking Pokemon in your neighborhood: Preparation is 90% of the battle"

#PokemonGO: Pokemon show up at certain, un-moving spawn points dictated by cell phone data usage. Not only that, but these spawn points spawn pokemon at the same time once per hour. Now that the "sightings" list has been fixed to update more accurately and aggressively, we can use this list to figure out where a newly spawned pokemon has shown up.Step 1: Gather spawn point info. Whenever you encounter a pokemon in your neighborhood, write down when and where you found that pokemon. You will find that this happens at a very predictable rate. My neighbor has 3 spawn points. Pokemon spawn at xx:30, xx:49, and xx:53. There are 2 other spawn points in my neighborhood as well that adhere to the same hourly schedule.Step 2: Keep your app open at home. When a new pokemon shows up in the sightings tab, take note of when it spawns and try to correlate the time to a spawn point or two. This takes out most of the guess-work involved with finding a pokemon, but unfortunately only helps those with multiple spawn points within their neighborhood.TL;DR: Figure out where your spawn points are and when pokemon spawn during the hour, take advantage of that when a pokemon pops up on your sightings tab. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2aQRtfZ
