"Gym Stagnation in my Area is Taking the Fun out of the Game for me"

#PokemonGO: For awhile my area was fairly well balanced between the three teams. But I haven noticed over the last several weeks most of the big players on team instinct have stopped trying to take down gyms in my area, valor has left as well and now mystic has about a 12 mile radius on lock down in my city of about 400,000.Currently I am level 28 on team insinct, I have taken down countless level 7 - 10 gyms over the last 2 weeks by myself only to have them sprout back up again in no time. All my friends on instinct have stopped playing and are really not interested in playing anymore until a significant expansion comes out. So I can't team up with anyone. Here the mystic population is simply overwhelming. For every gym you take down, there are countless others waiting to build it back up.I even tried training up several level 10 instinct gyms myself early in the morning before my run without using the bubble strategy. Hardly anybody placed any pokemon in the empty slots and the gyms were gone by the end of the day.From the battles, all I have left in my inventory right now is x3 Hyper Potions and x3 revives. It takes me a very long time to replenish my reserves - and that is with dodging every move in battle. To give you an idea I run about 30 miles a week. Each mile lap at the park I run gives me access to 12 stop spins or about 360 stops per week. Even with that higher level potions (hyper and mega) are very rare for me. At this point I have to use revives to heal my guys back to half health and soon I will be out of those too.Its sort of draining my desire to play, there is only so much I can do by myself and its discouraging.Not sure if there is anyway they could even balance this.
