"Gym stagnation will erode player base"

#PokemonGO: I've been following the gym stagnation discussion I think there is a serious problem here. I would like to make a few points, and each is discussed in detail further below.Players will quit because of gym stagnationGym stagnation is a runaway process that only gets worse over timeNiantic is unlikely to re-balance team compositionA fix is necessary for the long term health of the game.Players will quit:I played Ingress and got to level 8 and promptly quit the game. I did so because in my immediate area everything was dominated by the enemy team. It was simply boring and disheartening to feel totally outmatched.I reached out to fellow team members. They played in other areas primarily. I was hurting my team more than helping by providing easy exp gain for enemy team.I imagine other players will be quitting Pokemon Go for the same reason. Gyms are only a part of the gameplay.Gym stagnation leads to more gym stagnation:Gyms reward Stardust. They do so in 2 ways: directly via gym bonus and indirectly via coins to buy incubators which yield stardust.A team that dominates gyms will gain stardust at a faster rate, become even more powerful, and steadily choke the life out of the local gym scene.Niantic is unlikely to rebalance teams:I never heard of this happening in Ingress and it seems like they never addressed any of the team change requests they received through the official process. I think this is just a part of the game they are not interested in micromanaging.A fix is necessary for the long term health of the game:If we don't want Pokemon Go to stagnate, some changes are in order.I have two three suggestions:Reduce max prestige to 32,000. Gym levels above level 7 scale the same way as lower levels (4000 additional prestige per level)Stagnant gyms lose max prestige over time. When the max prestige falls below the level cutoff, the lowest pokemon is automatically kicked out.Add in daily quests giving rewards for gym attacking.Please discuss.EXTRA SIDE NOTE: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NIANTIC PLEASE ADD AN INTEL MAP FOR POKEMON GO SO PEOPLE DONT HAVE TO CHEAT TO LOOK AT GYMS.Edit: Thank you every one for commenting.
