"I had a lure spawn 10 Magikarps in a row..."

#PokemonGO: This happened at a very rural pokestop with a small pond somewhat close. The area surrounding very rarely spawns a Ratata or a Weedle. Other than that there is usually nothing on the sightings list. I repeated twice but never got the same result. I did, however, record the Pokemon along with the their CP from all 3 lures. Can anyone explain this?*If anyone likes I would be more than happy to edit this post with more detailed account and all the data mentioned above.EDIT I have never seen a magikarp, psyduck, or slowpoke here before.
