"Stardust bank Management"

#PokemonGO: What is considered "a lot" ?How many pokemon do you realistically power up ? I thought it would just be your best 6 and maybe a couple solid defenders.Currently I've only ever powered up two pokemons (Maybe spent like 20k ?) so I'm not sure what I should expect. Maybe I haven't found any pokemon yet that I've been excited or worthy of power ups... I just don't want to do something I'd regret later.Just trying to prepare so I know what to expect in terms of stardust management. Would be interesting to hear how people manage their bank.
