"[DISCUSSION] How to earn coins as a casual."

#PokemonGO: It's been a few time that I read about people keeping 7, 10 or more gyms to earn 100 coins daily, I don't think this people are the majority, so let's talk about more casual play style.Of course the best would be to get 100 coins per day but let's keep it reasonable and say the goal is to earn at least 20 coins preferably 40 coins. Now I'll put some restriction that I think apply to what casual playing is in this game :No Snorlax, no Dragonite, no Lapras.Pokemon are not the best IV/move set their is, doesn't mean they're the worst, just don't count on overly optimized pokemon. Not a lot of pokemon, meaning their is not necessary a proper counter for each defender.Travel to gyms are kept to a minimum. Are may not be densely populated by gyms.(Bonus) soloWith this the points to address would be :What are some good generic attackers ?What are some easy counter to try to acquire/train ?What are some good generic defenders ?Earning 20 coins can be fairly easy if you have two gyms close to each other, you just have to conquer them or train a spot in each. The training part may be the hardest one if the gym is full of 2K Snorlax. However earning more can be a bit more challenging since some gyms may be lost by the time you get to new ones. What do you think ?Edit : Thank you for for input. I'll summarize a bit, but for anyone reading this, I encourage you to read what has been posted for better and more complete information.Try to discourage potential attackers. Train gym, ideally lvl 10 to put a high CP pokemon in. If you can't train the gym, place an easily trainable first defender. At least try to train it a few lvl to encourage your team to fill it and train it.Lot of high CP anything can be more discouraging than a single Snorlax.VaporeonIf you have access to 2 gyms close to each other, keep it for the end. Worst case scenario, you get 20 coins.(A bit more advance) Try to note which gym are kept for a fairly long time by your team and target this ones. Avoid gym that switch to frequently (i.e. train station) or keep them for the end, when you collect your coins.VaporeonAgain, at least read a few top comments for more detailed informations. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2e9L5yC
