"Just caught my first wild Dragonite..."
#PokemonGO: ...and it was as cripplingly difficult and frustrating as one would expect, and as it should be.Ultras and Razzes gone, among those were 4 Excellent ones that it jumped out of like it were nothing. After standing in the shadow of the colossus for 1/3 of my battery life, I finally caught it with a not especially good throw of a Great Ball. After the battle ended, and I stood there for a moment looking at the new and amazing Pokemon I'd just caught, I looked around me.I had just gotten out of class. It was 10 a.m., smack dab in the center of a major college campus (Pac 12) with its 25,000 students. Classes had just ended, and students were walking all around in me and in every direction. But not a single one of them was doing the what I was. Not one of them had seen the same Dragonite, no one was looking for it, battling it, or catching it. It was just me.I saw this and wondered how impossible this would seem just a few weeks ago. Thousands of young people, the target audience for what was global phenomenon, and the most sought after moment in the game, and it reached no one but me.I wonder how Niantic feels about that, and I wonder how many Lapras', Dragonites, Snorlaxes, etc. are out there spawning in an utter vacuum. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2ej1ByP
