"People seem to want to report "Magikarp nests" (high-activity water biomes) - maybe the atlas should let them do it better"
#PokemonGO: So I'm guessing most of us are familiar with areas that spawn a heck of a lot of Magikarp, Psyduck, and Slowpoke (also rarely Dratini and others?). Specifically, there are spots where you encounter 4-5 of these Pokemon clustered together as soon as you arrive (as if it's a really concentrated/potent water biome; a water super-biome?).In my experience with the nest atlas, people seem to like reporting these areas (they're reliable and frequent, and whether they're a biome rather than a nest is a technicality I don't think many people care about when they're reporting or searching for spots to get Pokemon).Currently people have a few clumsy solutions to report these areas (I often see Magikarp nests with comments mentioning other species, and I've even added some matching this trend in my area, but I've also seen Magikarp and Slowpoke nests side-by-side to fudge a multi-species "nest").I suggest that as soon as someone tries to submit a Magikarp, Psyduck, or Slowpoke nest, the atlas should ask to confirm whether it's a water biome (super-biome?) that spawns all three types in high concentrations as opposed to the standard single-species nest. Having them tagged differently in the atlas would eliminate the need to re-confirm these water areas every migration. These areas are noteworthy (as we see from people's enthusiasm in reporting them), but without giving people a proper channel for these reports, I fear they'll just keep fudging them as nests. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2eClqyU
