"Tying Pokecoin collection to holding gyms was a bad idea"

#PokemonGO: Tying the collection of Pokecoins to holding gyms, the only competitive aspect of the game, was a bad move from Niantic. This is exactly what makes people use several accounts, even kicking their own team mates out of gyms, making the whole gym scene very unfair and not very enjoyable. People will spoof, snipe and multi account to get places in these gyms. It also drives everyone into the same team to have work free coin collection, coloring entire cities in one color, while it screws the game for everyone who didn't chose "the winning team", forcing them to farm potions and revives for hours a day only to capture some gyms that they lose after 30 minutes while players in "the winning team" do absolutely nothing for their coins. I really wish they had left gyms as places where people can go to battle PvP and see who has the best Pokemon and had tied the coin collection to, for example, completing daily quests like "catch 20 Pokemon", "walk 10km with your buddy" etc.. This way everyone would actually have to work for their coins, choosing the right team would be a matter of preference and not a choice between "working your ass off every day or doing nothing to collect coins" and gyms would be a more enjoyable aspect of the game. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2eGIFNd
