"Deadlines: For the first time since release I was motivated to walk x distance in x time."

#PokemonGO: Thought the event would be over by now. Went for a walk to hatch the rest of 5km. Spin stop. 10km egg. Decided to walk the entire 10km right away in case the event ended. Normally, I would have just gone home after 20 mins or so. The whole time I was motivated to keep going because the event could end at any moment. It was the first time since release that I was significantly motivated to finish the task quicker. Yes finding Pokes and hatching eggs is "motivation" to get outside, but nothing compared to having an expiration timer on bonuses. It got me thinking that missions should be time based ("Charmander have migrated in your area, they usually stay in one area for 48 hours, and will appear more frequently to trainers that are moving", "hatch 3 eggs within 48 hours and your 4th will have double candy!" etc.).Oh and I hatched an Eevee with 45 candy btw (could be worse).TLDR: When implemented, most in game events, migrations, missions, etc. will encourage more exercise if they're time based. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2fbZbng
