So ive always chosen the "canon" names for pokemon games...just because. However, for pokemon Moon i did something a tad bit different, I chose the female protag and named her "Mahina" because that is Hawaiian for moon. Im from Hawaii and know quite a bit of Hawaiian so i figured why not (i also nicknamed most of my party pokemon Hawaiian names as well, i never really nicknamed pokemon at all before). Now near the end of the game, When you first "meet" Lunala, its cry in text form is literally "mahina." I got really excited because it just said my name, i thought that we would have a legendary who could talk like in a few of the movies.
