"Sorry if this is old, replaying Platinum and blowing my own mind on the reasoning's of the Legendary typings."

So it always bothered me that the trio of legendary Pokemon in these games have such weird types. I know sometimes a Pokemon has a type because Game Freak says so, but a space-rendering water-dragon? A time-traveling steel-dragon? A "upside-down" dwelling ghost-dragon? I always thought of the explanation as Pearls relating to water and Giratina as the "devil" to Arceus' "god" status....Dialga eluded me. Maybe because diamonds are hard? But then, today it hit me. I'm playing through again years after the release walking through the distortion world looking for the God of Anti-Matter and it hits me...Arceus is the creator. Of everything. Dialga. Palkia. Giratina. They represent the base of that creation. The building blocks of it all. Liquid (water), Solids, (Steel), and Gas, (Ghost). Again, sorry if this is old news but I feel like this is a pretty good idea of what their types would represent. Am I way off base? Anyone else have a different angle to look at it? via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2fjx6IR
