"Why gym battling is a bad end game for Pokemon Go"

#PokemonGO: After this update, most of the gyms I held were taken down, and I had all of my high level pokemon back again. So I spent some time taking down enemy gyms with them and realized that until then I had never even battled with my lone Dragonite or Lapras. I spent all this time searching for and powering up these rare strong Pokemon only to put them in a gym, and never see them or use them in battles again. My most used Pokemon have been common pokemon with type advantages good for prestiging in the 1200 CP area. Can you imagine if in the main games if instead of bringing your best team of 6 Pokemon to battle the Elite 4, you instead brought a random group of mid level unspectacular Wigglytuffs and Parasects? Everyone had favorite Pokemon they used in the main games, which is probably the source of so much nostalgia in Pokemon Go. But the entire gym setup of PoGo only distances you from what would normally be your favorite Pokemon by putting them in far away gyms only to be briefly seen from the time they were kicked out until you slotted them into another one. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2eJG6JI
