"Generation 2 hatch frequencies"

#PokemonGO: Last week I asked people who had been keeping track of their eggs since the baby update to add their results to a spreadsheet. There was a great response, with more than 2000 hatches reported, comprising almost 150 of the new Pokemon. The spreadsheet is available here, but since I still see people asking about it, I thought I'd summarise the results so far.Note: These are early stage results. Expect them to change as better surveys are done in the future. The DataPokemonEgg DistanceFrequencyExpected HatchesCleffa2km4.67%21Igglybuff2km7.98%13Pichu5km2.48%40Togepi5km0.80%125Smoochum10km5.26%19Elekid10km7.60%13Magby10km8.19%12Frequency refers to the percentage of appropriate eggs (2k for Cleffa and Igglybuff etc.) which hatch into that pokemonExpected Hatches refers to the number of appropriate eggs it will take on average to find one.ConclusionsMost of these hatch rates aren't particularly exceptional. Using pre-update data from this page I found from a Google search:Magby and Elekid are about as common as Pinsir and Electabuzz were pre-update, while Smoochum is closer to a Snorlax.Pichu is about middle-of-the pack in terms of rarity, but Togepi is really rare, about as common as Lickitung pre-update.Igglybuff is about as common as a Magikarp or Zubat were, while Cleffa is closer to what a Pikachu was. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hQLGea
