The red speech bubbles will reset after around 1 hr (exact time unknown) After leaving the plaza and back to the overworld. By saving within the plaza from connecting to the internet and soft resetting in the overworld, this check will be bypassed. This is also why you must not save in the overworld while using this method. All red speech bubbles will remain the same in that hour until the next refresh occurs. The answers to questions and guest preferences will also remain the same.
