"Pokemon Go Rarity and Value tier list"

#PokemonGO: I know trading is not implemented yet, but if it were to be implemented tomorrow here is my tier list of what would be the most valued and sought after by collectors.Tier 1Gyrados - Dragon Breath Starmie - Quick Attack, PsybeamGyrados with Dragon Breath is probably the rarest thing in the game right now. On August 19, 2016 there was an update to Pokemon Go which changed and removed a lot of moves from pokemon in the game. One of the moves that was removed from Gyrados's moveset was Dragon Breath. Given the fact that 400 magicarp candies are required to make a gyrados combined with the fact that it rarely spawns in the wild and the relatively young age of the game when the change was made, very few people actually have a Gyrados with Dragon Breath. This pokemon will likely be the most sought after pokemon in the game when trading finally comes out. If you have one, do not trade or transfer it! It could we worth quite a lot in a year or two.The Quick Attack + Psybeam Starmie is probably even rarer than the Dragon Breath Gyrados. Both Quick attack and Psybeam were removed from Starmie's moveset on August 19, so the chances of having one with that exact moveset are astronomically low. At the time, only 10% of the Starmie's that you evolved had this moveset. So of all the people that could actually make a starmie in the month that the game was out, about 10% of those people would have had this pokemon. Starmies are also not the type of pokemon you would hold on to, and unfortunately quite a few people unknowingly transfered this rarity of a pokemon. Who knows how many are even left?Tier 1.5Omastar - Rock ThrowAlso in the August 19th update, Omastar's move Rock Throw was changed to Mud Shot. Like Gyrados, Omastar was also a very rare pokemon to obtain this early in the game. On top of that Rock Throw was and still is the best Lapras counter. The combination of having an actually useful move on a pokemon that was hard to obtain puts Omastars with Rock Throw very high on the list. These were a little easier to obtain than Gyrados, especially if you lived in a coastal area and so Omastar was rated slightly lower than Gyrados and Starmie.Tier 2Chansey - Psybeam Porygon - Quick AttackThese move changes were also made in the August 19th update. These two pokemon are rare to find in the game as it is. On top of that you had to find one with these specific moves and only a month into the game being out. That puts porygon and chansey in the second tier of the most sought after pokemon.Tier 3Weezing - Acid Koffing - Acid Gengar - Sludge Wave Hitmonlee - Stomp Jigglypuff - Play Rough Muk - Acid Seel - Water Gun Starmie - Psybeam Starmie - Quick Attack Staryu - Quick Attack Diglett - Mud Shot Dugtrio - Mud Shot Golem - Mud shot Graveler - Mud ShotThis tier includes all of the other pokemon that were changed on the August 19th update. Some pokemon like Golem with Mud Shot might be worth more than Graveler with the same move, but at this time I'm putting them all in the same tier.Tier 4Holiday PikachuI know it doesn't seem like it now, but in a year or two Holiday Pikachu will be worth its weight in gold. This happens in every game where people don't take advantage of events that are available for a limited time. The best example of this is Party Hats from the popular game Runescape. On the first year that the game came out, there was a Christmas event that rewarded party hats. There was such an abundance of these hats that people were literally throwing them out of their inventory. Fast forward a decade and these hats are the most valuable thing in the game. They go for billions of gold (equates to thousands of US dollars). Holiday Pikachu seems very common now, but given enough time, it will be extremely valuable - especially if it is never released again.Tier 5Perfect 100 IV pokemon with perfect movesetsThis tier includes perfect IV Dragonites, Laprases and Snorlaxes with the best possible moveset for attacking/defending. These types of pokemon tend to lose value over time because more and more tend to be discovered as the game ages. As of today there are somewhat valuable though! via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2hRMKuE
