"[Research] Do nest spawns decrease at night? (Spoiler alert: no)"

#PokemonGO: Today on Pokemon Go Mythbusters: are nests less active at night? I've heard this one more times than I can count, so I figured it was time to test it out. I took spawn data from popular Ann Arbor, Michigan area nests collected from the three most recent migrations, and split the data out into 4-hour chunks across the day. The usual theory of nests is that each hour, each spawnpoint has a 25% chance of spitting out the nest spawn, and a 75% chance of spitting out the usual biome spawn. Turns out the graph of nest spawns over time is very flat, which confirms this theory with regards to hourly consistency.Data and ChartsNote that the differences in total spawns throughout the day is only because I wasn't always capturing data 24/7. Every spawnpoint always fires every hour at the same time, so the spawn-to-common ratio is the important part. The takeaway: nests don't go to sleep at night, so hunt whenever is convenient for you! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2hQNhAU
