"Shiny Mimikyu- Foolproof method (4 and counting today)"
If you want to get a shiny Mimikyu in 30-60 minutes, I found a method that's easiest to do post-game but I'm sure it can be done before that if you're patient, I'm not patient. I used a moveset that bypasses disguise ability so you don't have to hit every SOS twice, also the animation of disguise takes a lot of time in itself (I recommend turning off battle animation to make this faster) It'll have at least 4IVs, a random nature unless you use a synchronizer instead of smeargle, which is a much slower process.Smeargle: Leppa berry. Recycle. Recover (or spore if you don't mind using items) False Swipe. Moongeist Beam.Dhelmise: Leppa Berry. Switcheroo. (or anything with switcheroo or similar move)Stoutland: Odor Sleuth. (ANY Pokémon with odor sleuth or foresight will wrk, mold breaker false swipers like pangoro HA work but are a whole side quest of their own)Once you find a Mimikyu, spam recycle over and over until mimikyu. uses mimic and copies recycle. It takes me 5-10 times on average. Once Mimikyu knows recycle, switch into your switcheroo Pokémon. holding a leppa berry, switcheroo to make mimikyu hold the leppa berry. Switch into Odor Sleuth etc and identify mimikyu. False swipe until mimikyu is at 1HP. Use Adrenaline orb. Now mimikyu can never ever struggle and will be in play forever. Now switch back to smeargle. I used a few XDefense and XSpAtk to make this go by faster. (only slash and feint attack will harm smeargle) Moongeist beam the incoming mimikyu, They should faint in one hit, bypassing disguise ability completely. recover and recycle your leppa berry as needed. PPup and PPmax on moongeist will make this go by faster if you don't care to use them, it'll give you 8pp instead of 5. skip turns by using adrenaline orb, keep OHKOing incoming mimikyu. Repeat. Takes me about 75 chains on average to get a shiny.Shiny charm helps a lot but this chain is unbreakable so it's just a waiting game.Edit:Fainted synchronize Pokémon in 1st slot doesn't work anymore, the synchronizer needs to be on the field. Fainted mon in the 1st slot will have its nature synced instead of the synchronizer's nature tho)For those asking, I taught smeargle moves via the ditto method, I'm sure the smeargle chaining method is good too. find a Pokémon with the move you want, delete all moves except for the one you want smeargle to learn (first island west end poke center in city) if you catch the smeargle at a level below 11 you can easily teach it the 3 base moves in one chaining encounter (recycle, recover, false swipe). I got recycle from a trubbish, recover from a staryu, false swipe from a low level I taught with the TM. Have a wild ditto copy trubbish, switcheroo a leppa Berry to it so it won't struggle to death (if you keep a chain above 40 the ditto will have 4+IVs and you can end the chain by catching that one, which is great for competitive breeding) , have smeargle sketch recycle from the ditto, wait for SOS ditto (adrenaline orb), chain for a bit, XP points will cause low level smeargle to level up and learn a new sketch fairly fast, swap in staryu, false swiper, etc and keep the chain going. If you aren't learning sketch as fast as you would like, move relearner Will teach smeargle sketch whenever you want. Smeargle can learn every move except for chatter I believe (I think there may be like one more) Lunala has moongeist of course, which bypasses abilities.I should also note a smeargle with technician is great for when you're chaining something else. If you want a stronger smeargle with technician, chain above 40 then throw out a tracer to clean up (umbreon/espeon/alakazam/porygon) until you find a technician. I made the mistake of catching the first one I found and raising it to level 80something without thinking. Wish it had better stats. I keep the first 3 moves always, change out the 4th depending on the Pokémon I want to chain. I keep my parasect (spore/false swipe) on me to catch the shiny. 1HP and sleep is great bc i only like premier and apricorn pokeballs. If chaining for a grass type I use snorlax (holdback/yawn) as spore won't work. Be careful about SOS Pokémon that can damage your 1HP host tho. Stufful has that problem A lot via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2gaJdGH
