"Battling with spoofers as a rural player, is it hopeless?"

#PokemonGO: Background, I live in an very rural area. Have been playing since launch and still only just now approaching level 25 and I'm one the higher level players in the area.There are 5 stops in about a 10mile radius and all of two gyms. One is the post office and the other is in the middle of nowhere with very spotty data coverage that is about 10 mins driving at hwy speeds.It seems a certain spoofer(s) have decided to terrorize us few remaining players in the area. The gyms are taken to level 10 and have nothing but 2k+ snorlaxes from level 30ish users with a themed name set (i.e bab8yBear1, ba8yBear2, papabear1 etc) http://ift.tt/2ih7YoO .In joint efforts we've taken their gyms down and burnt through precious revives and potions doing so only to have them taken back and to level 10's in a day.Is there anything we can do besides report the offending cheaters? http://ift.tt/2jjQGGf already so hard to play out in the sticks this kind of behavior really makes any effort feel pointless to keep trying.
