#PokemonGO: I doesn't seem to common to see anyone on r/silphroad that hasn't been playing for months. I started two weeks ago because I finally got a smart phone thanks to google's project fi. The only thing holding me back from smart phones was the price for a phone an a data plan. However, project fi was nice and cheap and it's well with in my budget for a phone and data.My wife has been playing since day one and she is level 31. I've actually been lurking here and gamepress for a while. I tell her about all the latest info, best pokemon, movesets, how iv's work and how to battle/perstige gyms.So going into to this I felt like a veteran starting over again. This first thing I did was only catch pokemon that I could bubble strat with because you fins lots of 10cp pokemon when you are a low level. I got a horesea and a bell sprout and then I started to play like normal catching everything I came across. I have caught 93 horseas and only 3 are bubble strat worthy. A park near by was a horsea nest. Once I hit level 5 I joined Instinct and started to bubble up one gym a day for XP. Only one of my bubbled gyms got full, mystic has 80% of the gyms around here, especially in my neighboorhood. Their are 5 level 10 mystic gyms I can see from my house. In order to bubble more efficiently I killed off our transferred all my pokemon so it would default to bell sprout and all level 10 pokemon. I hatched a tangle a few days in and he could take out gyms with vaperons.This morning I used a lucky egg and got 99000xp because I had my 7 day streak bonuses and I haven't evolved any Pokemon yet and got bonuses for new Pokemon. I now have a 1800 rhyorn, 1500 golmen, 1400 vaperon 1050 Tangela, 1000 Chancey, and 800 Tangela. With this team I can take out most level 3/4 gyms on my own. I usually collect after 2 gyms because my gyms don't last very long. I also don't add into neighborhood gyms with my wife because I don't want to get targeted like she does. also she waits awhile to add in if I bubble strat a gym. I live a half block away from one park with a gym and I always take it over but I don't add in a Pokemon because I don't want to use a revive and I have already collected that day so I leave it grey. My wife just took down one of the level 10 gyms today. It got back up to level 5 but I just fought it down again. I was going to bubble it up but it was my son's bath time. So now I'm hoping I can keep these two gyms low leveled.As a new player the only thing I don't like is taking down gyms, I'm not strong enough to take down really high level gyms. Prestigeing is easy do to the cp adjustment but taking down the sea of mystic gyms isnt happening for a few more weeks.I also have been saving my star dust. I don't feel the need to level anything up because the higher level I am the higher level pokemon I catch. So why bother wasting star dust if I can catch something better. Because of this my team was really weak until today when I need a mass evolution. The only pokemon I level up is Tangle because I hatched him and he is cool.TLDR I got pokemon go two weeks ago and am loving it. I'm already level 22 with some decent pokemon. Down with Mystic. Instinct for life.EDIT One important detail, project fi gave out 10$ for the google play store so naturally I spent it on pogo and got 6 bag upgrades. I think that has helped out the most.
