"Is it more efficient to train only the bottom Pokemon in a gym or to beat through multiple? I favor training only the lowest, but don't have any hard data to demonstrate it's better."

#PokemonGO: I get the impression from reading on /r/TheSilphRoad that most people are beating through multiple, but I'm a bit of a diehard who is still doing it the old way and only usually train against the lowest Pokemon unless there are multiple that are almost the same CP and countered by the same attackers. When beating only a single, you can pick the defender's exact counter and get 1000 prestige with each session. I tend to pick 1 counter, 1 backup, and then quickly fill 4 spots on my roster with fillers to minimize the time spent selecting. When beating multiple Pokemon, you might not be getting 1000 each time, particularly if there is a wide disparity in CP ranges. Example: bottom Pokemon is 1400, followed by 2000, 2100, 2150, 2175, 2200, 2800, most of the time you'll probably send in 6 ~1000 CP Pokemon. The fact that you might not be getting as much prestige per battle is balanced by the fact that you can get prestige credit for multiple battles without having the downtime between battles of clicking through screens as well as selecting your team. As an additional downside, you'll also be consuming more potions since you presumably won't be using the perfect CP perfect type counter Pokemon for every battle.Has anyone conducted extensive experimentation with each and come to any conclusions on which is ultimately the better approach? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2j3Pqss
