"Quests please"

#PokemonGO: There has been a lot of talk about becoming bored with Pokemon Go (I'm sorry, but we are all thinking it). I'm level 30 and my Dex is complete minus Kangaskhan and Lapras. I'm traveling to Australia soon (unrelated to Pokemon Go) and hoping to get Kangaskhan, and the pursuit of Lapras has been reduced to leaving Go running when I walk anywhere in hopes of getting that lucky egg.I'm personally not bored yet, but I anticipate that day coming very soon. For me the most obvious way to add significant depth is through quests. These could be triggered through chance encounters with other professors or trainers, or even a new location Tyler in addition to pokestops and gyms. Quests could start simple by a professor requesting certain Pokemon for research for example. Once the quest infastructure is in place, new quests could easily be added and expanded over time to add new challenges and new depth. There could even be event specific quests offering time limited rewards like Holliday hats (for Pokemon or trainer). Of course there could also be a new quest badge to hook all of the completionists out there.I really want to keep playing g this game for years to come but I'm going to need more than new Pokemon to collect and new levels to grind to keep my interest indefinitely. This game has so much potential and I have faith that Niantic can tap into it.EDIT: I also think these interactions could help fill out the world making it feel more real and immersive (inline with the philosophy of AR gaming) while also opening the door for a bit of narrative and storyline which could also be easily expanded to reveal more as time passes. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2jcdM3z
