"The new "tracking" is terrible without nearby feature"

#PokemonGO: Was very excited when I first saw the San Francisco tracking Niantic were testing a few months back, composed of the sightings feature we have now in addition to a classic nearby tracking. The tracking aspect is now completely gone for me since I get the exact location of the pokemons from sightings, which to be honest, isn't that fun on it's own. What bums me out is that sightings take precedence over nearby, which in my case means I never see nearby at all. I've played since the beginning of august, and since then 1 Lapras, 1 Snorlax, 1 Magmar & 1 Hitmonlee has spawned near my residence (all low IV & CP), maybe it's not that many rare pokemons when taking the amount of time into consideration, but there was atleast a chance. During the same time I have seen exactly 0 rare pokemons spawn at the pokestops close by.So it feels like my already extremely slim chances of catching a rare has severely diminished as none of the rares have spawned in connection to a pokestop, a Snorlax could spawn 100 meters from me and I'd be none the wiser... :'(tl;dr Sightings is no fun without the addition of a nearby feature, it also makes it impossible for many users to know if a rare spawns in their close vincinity if it's not at a pokestop. Why didn't Niantic add both types of tracking as it was in San Francisco? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2jMQ2n1
