"Walked my grimer for 50 candies then see my first muk! Anyone else had this crazy "coincidence"?"

#PokemonGO: I've caught/seen only two grimers since the start of the game and had never even seen the shadow of a muk. I made grimer my buddy and finally reached 50 candies yesterday morning. I decided to remove him as my buddy as soon as I reached 50 and wait to evolve him during my next mass lucky egg evolve session... ...That night a muk spawns right outside my apartment!
