"Add TM's and make them as difficult to acquire as Evolution Items"

#PokemonGO: With the most recent move re-balancing, I know that a lot of people are upset with how much worse certain hard-to-acquire Legacy Pokemon are (namely Alakazam). This has caused even more interest in the ability to teach our Pokemon new moves using the wonderful TM system, but not without concern over whether or not the ability to give our Pokemon the best moves would make the Gym meta even more stale than it already is. Couple this with the fact that the new Evolution Items seem to be decently rare and I think we have a recipe that could work.Right now, getting an Evolution Item is lengthy work involving a lot of Pokestop spinning (pure RNG) or hoping that a 7 day streak nets you one (time investment). Getting a specific one is going to be even harder. If TM's were available at a rate that was comparable to the rate at which these rare items are acquired (so that the strong and desirable moves dropped at a lower rate than the not-as-desirable ones), you could expect a lot of people to have to go through a decent amount of work to end up with the Pokemon that they'd like. This would allow those of us who have high IV/high Stardust investment Pokemon to remain relevant throughout the length of the game by giving us the potential to change their moves, while also not giving any advantage to any of us who could potentially have enough candy/Stardust in the bank to re-roll our desired movesets over night.I know that the cry for TM's has been around forever, but I do think that now is a great time for Niantic to start thinking about it. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2lAtxTG
