"New Ability/Move that came to me a dream.... (and a new Mega)"
So I had a dream last night about the first games in Gen 8. They added a new ability that a certain new Pokémon got (this Pokémon was an actually an old school friend who'd been made into a Pokémon, you know how dreams are...). It acted very much like Zen Mode. When it activated and changed your form to "Bay Mode" (don't ask about the name, I don't know either), it changed all the attacks against you into similar but weaker moves. For example, if you opponent used stone edge it would be changed to Rock Throw, Surf would get changed to Water Gun, Double Edge to Tackle, Extreme Speed to Quick Attack... you get the idea. The best thing about Bay Mode however, is that it could be given to any Pokémon on the field via this Pokémon's signature move (I checked on competitive forums in the dream, it is also usable by Smeargle). It didn't give the ability, it actually changed the target's form to Bay Mode on that turn and lasted until switched out/fainted. Imagine how good this would be to give to allies in doubles...In the dream the first Gen 8 games turned out to be Hoenn remakes again, though they didn't tell us until release day and we all had the game (they added ...Ruby and ...Sapphire to the previously revealed names). I complained to someone at Game Freak (in person) about this, saying it was too soon since ORAS and I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was Hoenn again. Then they said something along the lines of "ah... but have you seen Mega Luvdisc yet?" - as if this justified the whole the thing. Looking back now awake, Mega Luvdisc was a cross between regular Luvdisc and Sigilyph. via /r/pokemon http://ift.tt/2lS5xJ3
