"The rarest Pokemon in our region is...."

#PokemonGO: ...Aerodactyl. And Charizard.Two guys living in a city around 50km away from where I live created a map. Fortunately, I don't live in the area where the map is working (this may sound weird, but if there was a map in my hometown I would probably never be at home or at school). As I met them back in December, I asked them about some stats about the Pokemon spawning here and now they showed me them and I thought it may be interesting to share some stats:Over the last couple of weeks and months, the map located 2.722.000 Pokemon (they deleted the Pokemon the map located during events).The ten rarest Pokemon:Charizard: 1Aerodactyl: 1Sandslash: 2Venusaur: 4Dodrio: 4Kabutops: 5Golem: 6Flaeron: 9Machamp: 12Omastar: 14Others:Snorlax: 98Lapras: 179Tangela: 21Chansey: 103Dragonite: 44Gyarados: 18Muk: 27I just like statistics, thats why I wanted to share some (IMO) interesting information.Edit: Someone asked what "Over the last couple of weeks and months" means. It is data from the last two months. Back then they had to reset the map and reduze the size because the Captchas made it expensive. They told me that the map is sometimes down and when people do not solve Captchas (obviously at night) the map locates less Pokemon than usual (e.g.: around 2500 Pokemon located at 8PM, around 400 located at 3AM). Thats why they can't say an exact time span.Edit2: Someone asked if I could give some information about where the rares mostly spawn:Dragonite: around the hills, can also confirm that Clefairy is pretty common where the Dragonites usually spawn Tangela: mostly at the edge of townsChansey, Snorlax, Lapras: urban area, none of them spawned outside of towns/cities, normal spawns are Eevee, Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2kRsUB4
