"[Suggestion] Trainer Types"

#PokemonGO: http://ift.tt/2m9AvPO'm sure this has been suggested in some capacity before, but here's my take.I feel that Pokemon Go lacks some of the personal touches that the original games had. i.e. Your team of six or your boxes. They've got the buddy system down which is great. But I suggest that us Trainers should be able to pick a Pokemon type we'd like to master. E.g. Misty with water types.Certain benefits would come with this title.Catch Bonuses - For example, if you were an Ice Type Trainer you would find it easier to catch Swinub, Lapras, Jynx, etc in the wild. A Bug Trainer would catch Caterpie, Ledian, Pinsir, etc easier.Stardust Discount - Powering up Pokemon of your respective type would cost half the normal amount. Or +5 added each time you power up.Special Costumes - Different coloured shirts/different types of items based on Type advantage. E.g. A bug hat. A dark hoodie. Ice-styled boots. Perhaps tattoos, facial hair or other physical changes.Candy Bonuses - Walking a Pokemon of your selected Type will occasionally reward a bonus candy. The same will apply to random catches in the wild of your Type.I feel this would have a chance at shaking up the Gym meta due to Trainers having higher mons of varying types, and allow more casual players to have that personal, fun touch. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2mBfJWI
