"We all know not to evolve a dratini until you have enough to go straight to dragonite, but..."

#PokemonGO: At this point, you probably shouldn't evolve it until you have enough candy to power it up to gym viability as well. With the increased egg drop rate of dratini, and as everyone's levels creep higher, the candy cost to evolve a hatched dratini is a smaller portion of the total candy cost to make it viable in gyms. And by the time you have enough candy to power it up, you'll've probably had to hatch several more, and possibly gotten a better one.The same is true of Tyranitar and other Pokémon you're evolving to put in gyms. Don't know if anyone else does this? I doubt I'll have that patience but it's probably a worthwhile corollary to the basic rule everyone knows. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2m9KW6V
