"[Discussion] "Niantic will never fix spoofing, they'll lose half their players which means less money for them." Here's where you're wrong"
#PokemonGO: So we've all seen that argument right? In fact after i tweeted Niantic support i got a lot of people telling me the same thing, but let's actually think about it. Niantic says there are 65,000,000 people playing Pokémon Go monthly, let's assume that less than half of those play everyday, so 30,000,000. Now let's assume 10% of these players are spoofing to get into gyms, so they get 100 coins everyday easily. 100 coins costs £1 on the play store in the UK. So everyday 3,000,000 players are receiving £1 worth of coins. £3,000,000 everyday effectively, which is roughly $3,750,000 give or take. Now you're going to say that because the gyms are locked down and impossible for your everyday legit player to battle that they're forced to spend money for incubators instead of just gym coins. But what about the players that stopped playing because of spoofers? They're customers lost. Also i remember before there was such a huge spoofer problem I would do well to hold just 3 gyms for a day. Now when i take a gym, 5 well known spoofers help themselves and jump in to the gym i took, and so i now hold 14 gyms in total and have done for over a month now. So even though I'm playing legit, I'm benefiting from spoofers and getting so many coins from it. I used to spend about £5 a month on this game, not anymore because of my team mates spoofing.Sorry for rambling but i just wanted to get this off my chest. via /r/pokemongo http://ift.tt/2p7TN71
