"My idea of an ideal Gen 4 remake."

Originally posted this to /r/nintendo, but its probably more suited here.Disclaimer: Now obviously, this is just MY idea of an ideal Gen 4 remake. It is suited to my personal tastes, and you are allowed to disagree.First and most importantly it has to be a remake of Platinum, rather than Diamond and Pearl. Of course, this already means it won't happen because Gamefreak would rather remake the two inferior versions of the game so they can make the extra cash, even though an objectively more complete version exists.In terms of story, they really don’t need to do an ORAS and change things. Sinnoh’s story is fine as is. The only thing they should do is maybe change a few lines of dialogue here and there to reference newer games and mechanics.Again, unlike ORAS I don’t want any major changes to the region, as I quite like Sinnoh. Only a few minor tweaks are needed, such as maybe making Routes 216/217 less annoying to navigate. I don’t want them ruining any Dungeons.Z Moves, Megas and formsBoth Z moves and Megas should return and receive new additions. Z moves should be changed to fit Sinnoh more (ie: No more dancing, just touch the Crystal on your Z ring to activate them, like with Mega evolution)In terms of who gets what, I think the starters and some other fan fave Sinnoh mons should get Mega Evolutions (Luxray, Staraptor, Drapion etc). Mesprit could also probably get one due to being sort of important.Lucario should get a Z Move based on Aura Storm from Brawl. Dialga, Palkia and Giratina should all get Z moves based on them opening up windows to their home dimensions and pelting the foes with energy. The Griseous orb should be reworked so that it only has to be used on Giratina to change its form (Like Hoopa’s Prison Bottle and other similar items). However you can also give it to Giratina to boost its Ghost/Dragon moves and let it use its Z move (Distortion Rift). Dialga and Palkia should also use their Z-Moves through their Orbs (Spacial Rift and Temporal Rift)Since the original Platinum was also the game to give Rotom its forms, maybe the remake could give it another? It could even be Rotom Pokedex, but turned into an actual usable Pokemon (Electric/Psychic or Fairy?)If they wanted, they could also do some more regional variants, but I don’t have any ideas for this.Arceus should also get some sort of post game story, so it needs a form or something. Maybe they could be creative and make it a Z crystal type object that changes its from when it uses the move. (Could be called Omni Burst?)Returning featuresPokeride should return from SM and replace Sinnoh’s HM’s, but they should change it a bit. They should make it so that you actually use your own Pokemon instead of some strangers. (To make it more clear, all the HM’s are still in the game, but when you approach obstacles, you use the ride pager to summon a Pokemon from your PC who knows the required HM)The Bike, Vs. Seeker and Poketch should also return.Dex Nav, O-Powers, Pokemon Refresh and the Player Search System should all return, but integrated into the improved Poketch (It should have colour screens so call it the Poketch+ or something)Challenge mode form BW2 should return. Normal mode should have the same level scaling as the original but with the changes made over the Generations intact. ( new EXP share mechanics, no poison damage out of battle etc)The challenge mode should have increased levels, trainers with more Pokemon, pre-gen 6 EXP share mechanics and Poison damage outside of battle.OtherWhatever they do they must NOT pull an ORAS and remove post-game content and customization. It would be absolutely unacceptable. (Poke Centers and Marts could be merged into one, and Clothes stores could take the place of the old Poke Marts. Either that, or they could just have clothes sections in the Poke Marts.The Battle Frontier must return. They could add the Battle Tree trainers into the Battle Tower if they wanted, as Post-Game battle facilities have been proven to not really matter in terms of canon (Wally not aging in SM despite ORAS taking place at the same time as RBY, yet Red has aged considerably)If possible they should have walking with Pokemon return. (They have all the models ready, but maybe it's a performance issue.
