"Tin Foil Hat Time! (A theory about Niantic's event planning)"

#PokemonGO: The inner conspiracy theorist in me wants to go stand on a street corner with a cardboard sign to have his voice heard. I believe that Niantic waits until the last possible moment to release event info to give people less time to prepare. They want trainers to get the most value from the events by purchasing items from the shop instead of saving them from level rewards/gym earnings. This seems like common knowledge to most, but think about the impact to these events' success if you had prior knowledge. Imagine if you saved every lucky egg that you earned until double exp events. What about hoarding incubators until the double candy events. With prior knowledge of upcoming events trainers everywhere would save their resources to maximize the event's theme with minimal cost.TLDR Niantic waits until the last possible moment to release event info to increase profits. What are your theories on event planning? I'd love to hear other tin foil hat ideas! via /r/TheSilphRoad http://ift.tt/2oz9ZQW
